Information on the Corona virus

Corona measures: the most important points summarized

Dear guests

As of Monday, 13 September 2021, new rules are in force in Switzerland to contain the Corona virus. Among other things, access to indoor areas of restaurants and bars where consumption takes place on site will be restricted to persons aged 16 and over with a valid Covid certificate.

As we also have a bar and restaurant (breakfast), from Monday 13 September 2021, every guest must present a valid Swiss or European Covid certificate at check-in and confirm that they are fully vaccinated, recovered or tested. If you should take a Coronatest before arrival, it must not be older than 72 hours.

If you have a non-Swiss or non-European vaccination certificate, you can apply for the Swiss certificate here.

Please note that this certificate can only be produced with the following vaccines:

  • Spikevax ("Moderna")
  • Comirnaty ( Pfizer/BioNTech )
  • COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen ( Johnson&Johnson )
  • Mix-Match 1st dose of Vaxzevria ( AstraZeneca ) with 1 dose of Spikevax ( Moderna ) or 1 dose of Comirnaty ( Pfizer/BioNTech )

The certificate is only valid in combination with a valid photo ID or passport.

Above that, you will be required to present a completed entry form upon arrival. Find further information here.

Above that, our daily business is carried out in accordance with the recommendations of the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH):

  • Staff in all departments have been specifically trained on Corona measures.
  • New hygiene standards have been defined according to official regulations.
  • Disinfectant is available throughout the hotel.
  • The tables in the breakfast room have been reduced according to the guidelines. A maximum of 50 guests are allowed in the breakfast room at the same time.

Below you will find a detailed concept of our protective measures. If you have any questions about the Corona measures, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Protection concept for hotel operations and gastronomy

The health of our guests and employees is our top priority, which is why we have implemented appropriate measures according to the protection concept in accordance with the specifications of the Federal Office of Public Health (BAG) and with the support of HotellerieSuisse.

We kindly ask you to refrain from staying at our hotel if you have experienced symptoms of a respiratory illness in the last few days. Please contact us if you experience such symptoms during or after your stay.

  • Due to the conditions, there may be restrictions on our services, and in certain areas the number of people allowed is also limited.
  • We continuously adapt the protective measures to the changing requirements and recommendations, and our employees are instructed on an ongoing basis.
  • We clean and disinfect frequently used surfaces, objects and work materials (e.g. door traps, elevator and light switches) professionally and in intensified cycles. Our employees also wear protective masks and gloves for special tasks.

Please observe the following recommendations as well as posted information:

Respect the distance rule of 1.5 m to other guests, groups of guests and employees. This also applies in toilets, checkrooms, showers and rest rooms.

Floor markings/barriers are in critical areas. Separators are provided where distance cannot be maintained.

If possible, do not use the elevator with other groups of guests or ensure appropriate spacing.

In the entrance areas to closed rooms (library, lounges, wellness, etc.), keep to the maximum number of people permitted and follow the instructions of our staff. Adhere to the distance rules here as well.

Wash/disinfect your hands regularly. If possible, do not touch any foreign objects or disinfect your hands afterwards.

Let the staff assign you to your seat and observe the spacing rules.

Have your consumption written down in your room or pay by card - contactless if possible.

Masks are mandatory everywhere in the hotel, except in the hotel room and at your table in the breakfast room.
